Compare Cuts and Measurements

For T-shirts and tops, check length, neckline and body fit. A cropped hem changes its relationship with a trouser or skirt waist; a looser piece leaves different room for layering. Compare it with a similarly cut garment that already fits you well.

Broaden the comparison through women's T-shirts and women's sweatshirts. To wear one over another, check shoulder and sleeve room rather than relying only on matching size labels.

Swimwear and Separate Pieces

In bikinis and swimsuits, compare coverage, shape and adjustment where provided. Check whether the selected option is a set or an individual piece before combining separates. A top size does not automatically determine bikini-bottom size, and silhouettes differ in coverage.

Build an outfit around one main garment, coordinating other pieces through color or proportion. They need not come from one line, but each fabric and care label should be checked separately.
